Ari S. Miller is the founder of ASM Performance, a leading mental performance coaching and consulting practice that helps athletes, coaches, and professionals improve focus, confidence, and consistency under pressure. ASM Performance offers customized coaching programs, team workshops, and leadership training rooted in sport and performance psychology. Current clients include New York University Athletics and George Washington University Men’s Basketball, along with private coaching for college athletes and professionals in competitive industries.

With more than 15 years of experience in high-level athletic and professional settings, Miller began his career as a college basketball coach, serving on staff at St. Michael’s College, Bryant University, and the University of Vermont. Since transitioning to mental performance consulting in 2013, he has worked with individuals and teams at both the prep and collegiate levels, helping clients strengthen mindset, resilience, and focus.

He has delivered talks and workshops for national and industry audiences, including the Mid-Atlantic Security Traders Association and ezCater, sharing practical tools for managing performance-related stress and decision-making in high-stakes environments. His work in higher education includes building embedded mental performance programs, notably at Johns Hopkins University—where he led the department’s first comprehensive mental health and performance initiative—and at the University of Vermont.

Miller holds a master’s degree in psychology and is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC), a credential awarded by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
